Price Check on 7.62x39...

Just wondering what the consensus is on 700 round sealed :spam4: cans 7.62x39 (Hotshot) for $350 OTD. Seems fair considering whats going on in todays market. Pass :thumpdown or Play :ok: ...???

.50 a round seems fair today.

this is bullshit.

I miss being able to buy 20rd boxes of wolf 7.62 for less than $5 whenever I pleased.

Forgive me for this little sidestep, but I have a friend who located a seller of a few bags of 140 count South African 308 for $150 a bag. It's the best milsurp, but $150 a bag...wow

Anyone have recent experience with this ammo?

Yup...$3.49 a box just a little more than a year ago. I used to shoot it like crazy and never even think about the price. Those days are gone forever my friend, same as Fifty Cent a Pack Cigs and Nickle Candy Bars...:cry1::cry1::cry1:

Nothing in 7.62x39...??? You need at least a low end A-K to feed. Perhaps one like this in the $500/600 range...Very reliable and fairly inexpensive considering todays market...

Maybe or maybe not....There is no way of telling what will happen to the supply of common military calibers like 7.62x39...

I have learned a key thing in life....Just because something goes up for awhile doesn't mean that it will go up forever....One little geopolitical change can change everything...The Republicans may take the House and Senate during the midterms and stop all gun legislation....Much more may be imported, etc...

Advising people to continually buy at double the price of a year ago is typical overhype.

TA, you of all people should know that when you were advising people to continue buying SAE's when they were $22 because they were going to "da moon" in a month....:111:

One thing different about Ammo as opposed to Silver is... Silver changes form etc... melted into bars, rounds and whatnot, but it's always Silver. Ammo, on the other hand, is gone forever once you shoot it.:fan: (Not counting the reload factor)...Me personally, I jumped on and off the Silver Train and onto the Lead/Brass Wagon at a good time.(Like a few years ago) You are 100% correct about not being able to predict the future, but the handwriting seems to be on the wall on this one...

Yeah, and another HUGE difference is that there is NO finite supply of ammunition on this earth...Ammo can be made infinitely because it consists of very basic raw materials.

Ammo companies can manunfacture infinite numbers of rounds of ammunition.

You comparison is hugely flawed...Silver is used up in vast quantities in industrial applications....There is a finite supply that it is being used up and disappears forever and doesn't just "change form"...

Ammo can be manufactured as long as there is steel to make the cases..

I like Silver because it reflects light AND conducts electricity too...

Apparently a lot of people think they have to have these right now. A search of 'spam can 7.62x39' on gunbroker.com yields only 2 results.

I kind of wish I would have backed the truck up on these a year and a half ago...

He did, but he must be caught up b/c the deal is up now. He probably hasn't had any non LE orders in a month or so since as far as I can tell he has been sold out of everything.
